“If you want to join in, I’ll let you have a go at her first…” Zachary smirked cynically, adding, “If you don’t mind, we can do it together. After all, we’ve been friends for so many years. Zachary’s slender, phoenix-like eyes were slightly red, and his lips, as if stained with blood, curled up in a very enticing manner. He burst into laughter, his shoulders shaking. “Are you angry? How interesting. I’ve never seen you like this in all these years, Eric.”

Thinking of Eileen, Eric suddenly felt like things were slowly slipping away, eluding his grasp no matter how hard he tried to hold on.

Somewhere deep within his heart, it felt as if there was an empty hole, and he didn’t know how to fill it.

For him, it felt like something was missing.

“After all, it has been ten years. Is there really not a shred of emotion? How about we make a bet? Let’s bet on whether you will fall in love with Eileen. The stake is ten percent of the shares in Monarch Entertainment Club. If you win, I will work under you in the future, and you can order me around as you please,” Zachary suggested.

Eric picked up the suit jacket from the couch and put it on. While fiddling with the collar button with his well-defined fingers, he asked, “Don’t you have anything better to do?”
