The day hadn’t yet–turned into night, but the tables near the food truck were already filled with people. Aurelia and Matthew got there first. Thankfully, they had reserved a spot with the owner in advance. Otherwise. if they had been a moment later, they would have had to wait in line.

The outdoor area was buzzing, filled with the sound of lively conversations everywhere.

After sitting down, Aurelia picked up the menu and ordered a heap of dishes, keeping in mind her and Xavier’s preferences.

Perhaps due to dozing off for a bit in the car, she was now full of energy, feeling as if she could devour. everything on the menu.

“Have a look to see what you’d like to eat.” Aurelia handed the menu to Matthew.

Matthew took the menu, scanning through the extensive list of dishes. Based on his personal preferences, he decided on beef skewers and pasta.

Nothing else on the menu interested him much.

He had never been to a food truck before.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to come; it was just that time didn’t permit it.

No one would accompany him either.

Now that he was here with Aurelia, he surprisingly didn’t know what to eat.

Aurelia could guess a few things. After some thought, she decided to order a few more items on the menu.

“I think these might be things you’d enjoy, so you can give them a try.”

Matthew also showed some interest. “Okay.”

A short distance away, Xavier walked over. From where he was, he could see the man sitting with Aurelia.

Due to the considerable distance and the crowd, it was somewhat difficult to get a clear view.

Nonetheless, he felt as though he had seen that man somewhere before.

It wasn’t an unfamiliar face.

Moreover, why is he dressed in formal attire? Who wears a suit to a place like this for a meal?

He had heard from Aurelia that they were going to a food truck, so he hadn’t dressed formally. He arrived in a pair of casual shorts and a loose T–shirt. This choice of attire made him appear less imposing in comparison to the man, which annoyed him slightly.

Then again, just because he’s dressed formally doesn’t mean he has an imposing aura. Whether he’s good or not, I’ll find out soon enough.

When he finally reached them, the more Xavier looked at Matthew, the more familiar the latter seemed.
