But Nina wasn't having it. She turned her back on him, ready to leave. "Please, don't come looking for me anymore. Your presence just upsets my dad."

Cameron's handsome features darkened, the sting of betrayal sharp in his chest. "Nina, he's not your dad. I am your father," he finally shouted, frustration boiling over.

Nina paused, spun around, and flashed a sweet smile. "Oh, Griffin, you're such a joker. You've got your own wife, Greta, and no kids with her. My mom's Nathalie, my dad's Nathan. And my full name? Emily Sheridan. How could I possibly be your daughter?" With that, she skipped away, leaving Cameron standing there, her words echoing hauntingly in his mind.
