Nathalie stood in the elevator, eyes glued to the digital display, her mind a jumble of thoughts. There was something oddly captivating about the man in the wheelchair, something she couldn't quite figure out.

He seemed so aloof, yet she felt this undeniable urge to get closer to him. She stole a quick glance his way, only to catch him tilting his head up. Even with his sunglasses on, Nathalie had this strange sense that he was watching her.

Startled, she quickly turned away, standing stiffly, and dared not look around. As soon as the elevator doors slid open, Nathalie made a quick exit.

Officer Luke's apartment was right next to the elevator. Nathalie took a deep breath at his door, just about to knock when a wheelchair rolled up beside her.

Surprised, she looked at the man, and his bodyguard quickly explained, "We're here to visit the homeowner too."

Nathalie stepped back, gesturing with her hand for them to go ahead. The bodyguard invited her, "Why don't we go in together?"

He knocked on the door, and soon it swung open. It was Luke's wife who answered, her eyes showing a flicker of impatience. "Who are you looking for?" she asked, clearly not in the mood for visitors.
