Chapter 644

Nathalie's heartache had morphed into a storm of rage, and poor Greta was

caught in its path. Greta's face quickly puffed up, almost grotesquely, and with the scalding water that had been thrown on her, blisters started to form. Nathalie's furious slaps burst those blisters, leaving Greta's face a bloody, swollen mess. It was a sight too harsh for anyone to bear.

Miranda shrieked in horror, “Nathalie, enough! You can't keep doing this!"

"Nathalie, please stop!" Miranda's heart was torn between her two daughters. Greta, though, was her darling, the one she had nurtured with the most care. Nathalie, on the other hand, was used to taking the fall when things went south.

Watching Nathalie's fury unleashed on Greta, Miranda's inner balance tipped heavily in Greta's favor. She lashed out at Nathalie with words sharper than knives. "Nathalie, cut out this madness. If you need to direct your anger somewhere, aim it at Nathan. He's the real reason you're spiraling. He played the part of a successful man, making you fall head over heels. He spun you a fairy tale, and now that it's all unraveled, you're heartbroken and taking it out on the wrong person."

"He's nothing but a piece of trash. If you're mad, take it out on him! No amount of hitting or cursing will affect him, but Greta—she feels everything."
