Nathalie sank into her chair, her once vibrant face now as pale as a sheet. Greta's words kept replaying in her head: "You're about to lose Morris, and your father will follow."

The weight of the news hit Nathalie hard. She couldn't let it end like this. She was determined to change the outcome, no matter what it took.

With her mind in a haze, Nathalie stumbled to her feet and headed outside.
