“Wait, am I causing trouble here?”

Kate’s light–hearted voice cut through the silence, startling Miles so much that he nearly jumped from his chair. He glanced up to see Kate poking her head in, a look of mild surprise mixed with confusion on his face as he clutched his chest, exclaiming, “Wow, you scared me half to death!”

Feeling a tad embarrassed by Kate’s unexpected visit, Miles now felt kind of awkward.

Kate gave him a half–smile before getting straight to the point. “This is all about not feeling confident in others‘ makeup skills, right? Your makeup along with my fashion ideas.”

Making eye contact, Kate kept the smile on her face. “So, what do you think about how it all. turned out?”

Hearing this, Miles suddenly felt a surge of excitement and stood up quickly, spinning around. “It’s amazing! Hey, I take back what I said about making a scene earlier. Your designs, the clothes, the accessories–they’re all incredible!”

“I’ve got a feeling this new line from HN is going to be a hit!”

Miles was super pumped about it, and his excitement got to Kate too. Smiling, she said, “Alright, let’s do this. Let’s go check it out. They’re about to show off the new stuff.”
