Time passed quickly, and Maxius returned on Friday with a few half-finished laptops he had personally supervised. He then sent them to Xosa's Northill Factory for the final assembly. As Mikayla's wedding had been postponed, Maxius stayed over and personally supervised the production. In addition, since the quantity was low, it should be done quickly, and Maxius could cart the laptops back to Xosa when he headed back. Maxius communicated ahead with the Northill Factory in hopes they could work overtime to finish those laptops by Monday. The finalized timeline was the following Monday, whereby the department could start test-running the new laptops. It could be said that Maxius made the biggest contribution to this project. There would have been delays if he hadn't personally supervised everything. It was a sunny day that weekend, with the sun shining brightly. The rush that had enveloped the city seemed to have gradually gone down.

Mikayla had been resting her legs for the past few days and could walk without issues for a short while. It was just that she couldn't stand or walk for too long. At first, he accompanied her all day which soon turned into three times a day on weekdays and only in the mornings and evenings on weekends. It seemed like he was busy all day long. Mikayla didn't know what Carlos was up to, but she didn't question Carlos about it. She only checked if he needed any help for the upcoming wedding, but even then, Carlos didn't let her get involved. He kept his promise that he wouldn't trouble her with anything while she recuperated. As it was, it wasn't convenient for her to move around now, so Carlos requested her to wait patiently! Hearing that, Mikayla could only give up. However, when she explicitly told Carlos not to go overboard or extravagant with the wedding prep, he refused to answer her.
