Astrid's POV

"You don't have to be worried, Astrid. I promise you, you are not alone in this. I will help you find your cure. I won't let anything bad happen to you," Nova adds when she sees my indifferent reaction.

I glanced at Nova when I heard her words. She's promising me too many things. She might blame herself if she's unable to keep some of her promises.

"You don't have to promise me anything," I shook her hand that she placed on my lap to comfort me.
