As I finally stepped onto the familiar grounds of the Shadowfang Pack, a deep, bone-weary exhaustion settled over me.

The long journey from the Nightsong Pack to here had taken its toll, both physically and mentally, but even as my body cried out for rest, my mind was consumed by a far greater concern - the wellbeing of Astrid.
