A scream rang out through the crowd, and the doctors rushed over to examine Andrea, but they all said the same thing.

"There's no need for resuscitation."

Liam's body went cold. It wasn't until Andrea's body was sent to the morgue that he came back to his senses from the chaos.

One of the maids from the villa called him, wanting to ask him when he was going home. He tapped on the answer button, but nothing came out of his mouth. He felt as if he was being suffocated.

He had no clue how he drove home. He just felt cold and exhausted.

Entering the house, he sat down and took off his shoes. Then, he heard Grace's voice.

"Why did you get back so late?"

Grace sat in the living room. There was a gift sitting on the coffee table. It was probably his birthday gift.

Grace had actually left the villa but came back as she felt it was better to give the gift in person as it was Liam's 20th birthday. But she had not expected him to be so late. In another hour, his birthday would be over.

She had thought that he had found Andrea, and that they had gone out on a date together. So, she didn't continue asking any more questions and pushed the gift toward him.

"This is for you. There's also a cake in the fridge. Have you eaten?"

Without waiting for his answer, she went to the fridge and brought the cake out. She took it out of the box and stuck the candles on the cake.
