Chapter 279: To A Long Drive (2)

"Where are we going?" Inez asked. She had no idea how many times she had asked this dumb question, but hey, if you were more or less kidnapped and then taken on a ride without a set destination, so would you, even if the person who did it was your friend. As for her, the situation was even more complicated, as Tracy was not her friend.

"I told you. We are going on a long drive," replied Tracy. Her eyes were still focused on the road as she drove her RV. When the woman told her that she wanted to go on a long drive, Inez had expected a simple drive around the coastline and then returning to the pack. But–

She turned and looked at the board in front of her and sighed. What were they doing fifty kilometres away from the territory? And where exactly was Tracy taking her to?

However, after being brushed off for like ten or maybe twenty times, Inez knew that the woman was not going to answer her question. So what was the point in even asking the same repetitive question again and again? It would have made more sense if she had told her where she was taking her the first time.

Staring at the concrete road that was getting darker and darker with each passing minute, Inez finally couldn’t help it anymore. "Just in case you are thinking of killing me and burying me somewhere unknown, can you mark my grave? That way, someone might pay respects to me after I am gone."

"Burying you and then marking your grave will ruin the complete point of taking you so far and killing you. Not to mention that psychopathic mate of yours will hunt me down." Tracy spoke without even looking at her. Her grey eyes were still locked on the street, and she was muttering what sounded like coordinates.

Where the hell was she taking her? It was as if the woman knew where they had to go, but she didn’t know what that place was called. How could that be even possible? But looking at it, Inez had a feeling that it was quite possible. How? She was just not clear about it. Maybe some day, when Tracy was feeling extra chatty or had taken a few sips of vodka or something like that.

"I don’t get drunk," as if reading her thoughts, the woman beside spoke up.

Inez’s mouth fell open. "Did you just—"

"You are way too expressive." Tracy rolled her eyes. She glanced at Inez with a smile on her lips. "You might not know this, but your face speaks a lot even when your mouth is shut."

This was news to her.
