I grabbed Aisha by the arm and pulled her into my room, slamming the door shut behind us. “What did you just say?” I asked, my heart beating furiously. My eyes were wide with fear.

“A–Astel came around,” she stammered. “He… he came and…” She trailed off, her breath coming in short, quick gasps. I waited for her to finish, my mind racing with possibilities.

“What did he do?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

She kept quiet, and I swallowed hard, my eyes darting nervously around the room.

“He said he wanted to see you.” She finally said, her voice low.

My breath caught in my throat. “Who did he see?” I asked, my voice shaking slightly.
