I had never seen my mate so angry and out of control. She looked as though she was on the verge of killing her sister, and while I didn’t blame her, I had never expected her to throw down the challenge of taking the Alpha position so that Celeste could never have it. I wondered if she knew what she was doing or what she was getting herself in for. I was not the only one to have concerns as Alpha Xander cleared his throat, looking directly at Fiona for the first time since we had gathered in the study to confront Celeste. “Fiona, do you know what you are saying right now or the consequences of this challenge?” he asked her. “Do you know what could happen if you lose to Celeste? Maybe you should rethink this.
