Chapter 247
Lucas came out of the ward with a grim face. Rebecca wanted to ask him what this was all about, but in the end, she didn’t. She didn’t want to annoy Lucas when he was already in a bad mood.
Having noticed that Lucas had walked out of the ward, Louis walked over.
Louis looked at Lucas and snorted. “Jessica must have plotted the whole thing.”
With that, Lucas turned to stare at Louis.
Louis’ face turned pale when he saw the coldness in Lucas’ golden eyes. He couldn’t help but step back. Louis tried to say something, yet he didn’t dare to.
Lucas then walked away and disappeared at the corner. Louis only moved slightly when Lucas was out of his sight.
Louis’ face then recovered, yet his blazer was drenched with sweat.
Lucas looked like a cruel beast as though he would dash over and tear Louis apart if he dared to say one more word.
Lucas looked so scary.
Ever since Louis had started a new family with another woman outside, he didn’t go back to the Thomas villa often. And the three kids he had with Rebecca all changed their attitudes towards him.

As the eldest brother, Max used to pay great attention to etiquette, so he had been still polite to Louis.
Olivia was most hostile against him, but Louis didn’t care about her attitude at all.
Lucas always looked cold and reserved. Yet every time Lucas glanced at Louis, Louis felt terrified.
Thus, Louis had no guts to preach to Lucas.
Louis turned to look at Justin in the ward, then at Rebecca, who was standing outside the ward. He impatiently said to Rebecca, “My dad is awake now. You may head back.”
Louis dared to mess up with neither Lucas nor Justin.
Louis knew that clearly.
Rebecca frowned. “Lucas must be very sad.”
Louis didn’t comment on that. He had no idea how Lucas felt, but Louis did know things would be tricky for the Thomas family
Besides, whether Lucas was sad was not his concern. Louis only cared about his mistress and their kid.
Louis wanted to leave the hospital, but he suddenly thought of something and walked into the ward.
“Dad, how are you holding up?’ Louis walked into the ward and saw the medical apparatus beside Justin
Justin frowned at Louis’ obsequious look.
“I’m not dead yet.” Justin coughed heavily.
Louis forced a smile and said, “Dad, don’t talk like that. I wish you good health.”
“If I hadn’t had a son like you, I could have been much healthier. Now both you and your son are useless. I’ll still have to support the family.” Justin couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
Justin wasn’t just speaking out of anger. If Louis was capable enough, Justin wouldn’t have had to go out of his way to teach Lucas himself and gotten sick because of Lucas’ rebellion.
Yet Louis read between Justin’s lines. He quickly said, “Lucas is indeed being too insensible now. But I still have another son. If you would like to teach Oscar, he may be of help in the future.”
