The firecrackers had done their job, sending the grizzly bear into a frenzy. Feeling threatened and on edge, it locked its sights on Felicia even though she was perched up in a tree. It didn't matter to the bear-she was a target. The bear rammed into the tree with all its weight, shaking it violently. Felicia's grip faltered, her body jarred so hard that her chin hit the tree trunk several times.
