A meal of five dishes and a soup was about as much as Sophie could manage in the two hours she had.

Gordon glanced at the array of pots, pans, and utensils in the kitchen and quipped, "Bet the kitchen never thought it'd see the day when all four burners would be in action at once."

Sophie took off her apron and replied, "Thank goodness for Mr. Gordon's four burners. Otherwise, making five dishes in just a couple of hours would've been a real headache."

With that, Sophie went to serve the food. Just as she was about to head back to the kitchen, Colby shot a look at Adler, who immediately got the hint. He sprang up and dashed towards the kitchen, calling out, "Sis! Let me help you with the plates!"

Jenna craned her neck and shouted, "Yeah, Sophie, let me help serve too!"

Colby went into the kitchen, got Sophie's dishes ready, and placed them on the table.

Finally, Sophie came to the table, holding Colby's plate in her left hand and Gordon's in her right.

"Mr. Gordon, your meal."

Sophie set Gordon's plate down in front of him and then did the same with Colby's.

Sitting next to Adler, Jenna whispered, "Do you feel like the atmosphere is a bit awkward?"
