Bea took a deep breath. "That woman's nothing but trouble, bound to bring disaster to the Burke family sooner or later! She handed him ten percent of the company shares. "I spent all my savings buying these shares from that woman, Sophie. Keep them close, because now you're the largest shareholder of Burke International. No one can topple you from your position anymore." James looked at the shares in his hands and let out a sardonic chuckle.

Bea had held onto these shares for most of her life, never once thinking to pass them on to him. And now, she handed them over so easily.
