Chapter 288 Locked In

Just when I thought I could finally catch a breath, another problem arose. I had simply gone to the restroom, yet somehow, I ended up locked inside a stall.

The interview was set to begin in ten minutes, and I hadn't even changed into my outfit yet. If I didn't make it out in time, they would replace me. I pushed against the door, but even though it budged slightly, it wouldn't open.

The lock had been jammed from the outside, making my attempt to turn the latch inside completely useless.

I looked up and saw that the top of the stall was open. An idea flashed through my mind—maybe I could climb out. And if I could think it, I could do it. That had always been my philosophy.

Thanks to the daily combat training with Eric, my stamina had improved.

Two minutes later, I jumped down from the stall door, unlocked the door from the outside, grabbed my bag, and walked out.

Back in the dressing room, I immediately noticed the outfit I had left behind had been shredded into pieces.

Right on cue, Elsa's voice rang out behind me. "Jane, where did you go just now? The interview is about to start, and you haven't even changed yet."
