Chapter 1886

When Harold hit the big four-three, everyone got a bit too enthusiastic with the drinks. It seems that once they crossed into their forties, they started enjoying these get-togethers more and more. Each gathering turned into a nostalgic trip down memory lane over dinner and drinks.

Fiona and Alec, the young ones of the group, weren't really into the adults' endless tales. So, while the grown-ups laughed and reminisced, the kids would whisper about how much the adults loved their stories and booze.

Harold, feeling a bit woozy from all the drinks, stepped out onto the rooftop for a smoke. Absentmindedly, he pulled a small, peculiar-looking bottle from his pocket. It had been a while since he'd last seen it at William's lab, where Colby had left, and William had somehow coaxed him into dreaming again.

He always thought he had a crush on Sophie, a secret he'd never dared to share. But that youthful crush had lingered on into adulthood, even into middle age. Yet, in his dreams, it wasn't Sophie he saw it was his brother. Gordon, in Harold's heart, was the most important person. He even wished he could revisit that dream

once more.
