Sophie Kenwick's words made Xyla Quest feel increasingly curious about the god she had mentioned.

Why was he helping her?

Why did it have to be Sophie?

"Why did it have to be you?" Xyla asked.

Sophie shook her head. There was a brightness in her eyes. "I don't know either."

"I asked him a lot of questions, but he wouldn't answer any of them. He either said he couldn't reveal heavenly secrets or that I would naturally find out when the time is right." Sophie's eyes suddenly lit up after she finished her sentence.

"Oh, right. He mentioned..." Sophie trailed off.

"What?" Xyla asked.

"He mentioned I would receive a special reward once I've done well enough, but he didn't tell me specifically what it was," Sophie said.

"I kept asking for more details, and he replied that it was something I greatly desired. After that, he left."

The more Xyla heard, the more mysterious she found this god.

Xyla believed that there should be a special reason why Sophie was the one sent to help her.
