On the other end of the phone, Xyla Quest was still on the edge of her seat. She clutched the phone tightly in her hand and she could not take her eyes off the phone screen. She could not slack off, not in the slightest, she must wait for his call.

The people sent out to look for Stanley Batton had not come back and reported to her by now. Something must have gone wrong.

Right that moment, her phone ran out of battery and automatically shut down. She went to find a phone charger at once.
