"Evelyn, let's go," Ethan whispered softly in my ear. His tone was full of affection. "There's still so much we need to do, isn't there?" I nodded eagerly and flashed him my brightest smile. We bid goodbye to the guests and walked hand in hand out of the venue.

Not far away, a luxury car awaited us. Ethan, ever the gentleman, opened the door for me, and I sank into the soft leather seats.
