Richest Mogul

Chapter 1885

Chapter 1884

The Atkinson residence boasted a fresh selection of fruits delivered by the Holland family. They had been swiftly transported by express carriage from Osmus. Such delicacies were rare even in Vlario.

Manfred had never been particularly interested in these offerings. In the past, he had only taken a bite or two before passing the rest to Kemp.

But when Vivian's eyes lit up at the mention of the fruits, her excitement was infectious. "Sure, I'd love some!" she said eagerly.

Not long after, a maid arrived with a beautifully arranged platter of sliced fruits. As the remaining dishes were cleared from the table, the maids exchanged bewildered glances.

They were astonished by the sheer amount of food Manfred had consumed. There were so many dishes, yet Manfred had tasted every single one, and it seemed like he had taken several bites from each.

Furthermore, the two plates of pasta were empty. Manfred's behavior today was completely unusual. It was definitely because he was in a good mood, likely due to preparing to indulge a woman.

Kemp returned to the Atkinson residence just in time to catch snippets of the gossip circulating among the maids. Grabbing one of them, he asked incredulously, "You're saying that Mr. Atkinson is planning to have someone serve him tonight?"

The maid quickly shared everything she had heard. None of them dared to hide anything in front of Kemp. They all knew that Manfred highly favored Kemp and that he came from the esteemed Holland family.

Kemp was dumbfounded. Hours earlier, he had reported to Glen that Manfred seemed entangled with a female spirit, a mysterious and unsettling connection. But now, the idea that Manfred might suddenly be seeking the company of a maid turned everything on its head.

He couldn't help but wonder if Manfred's strange behavior earlier in the carriage had been a sign of a newfound affection for someone.

The mere thought of this possibility made Kemp feel a pang of deep regret. He should never have spouted nonsense in front of Glen.
