Nicole felt her body turning limp as Colton spoke to her. This man always loved to lean in close to her whenever he felt like it.

She tried pushing him away to widen the gap between them, but the man was determined to tease her by clenching her waist with his hands.

A frustrated Nicole gave it some thought and said, "I didn't just do it for you. I asked Natalie about it. She said that Evelyn only told her to drop some drug that could cause discomfort into the vaccines. This shows that even though Evelyn hates me and wants me jailed, she still has an ounce of conscience in her."

Colton lowered his head and rested his chin on the woman's shoulder before saying slowly, "In fact, Evelyn used to be a good girl when she was a young child. She wasn't as paranoid as she is now. However, Mr. Wrenn and Madam Gould were swamped with work, so they didn't have time to take care of their family. As time passed, her temperament changed."

He was friends with Gabriel, and Evelyn had saved him before when he was a young child. Hence, the Wrenn Family and the Gardner Family had always been on good terms.

He basically grew up with Evelyn, so he felt it was such a shame that she turned out to be paranoid.

Her father was an upstanding man who held an important position in the military while her mother was an intelligent woman who managed an airline company. It was a mystery how Evelyn ended up being so paranoid.

"I've seen Madam Gould before. She's a sweet-tempered woman, unlike Evelyn."

With her gaze lowered, Nicole recalled her meet-up with Siobhan.

"You told me that you met Madam Gould before. Don't you think that I somewhat resemble her?"

Colton put on a smile and ran his fingers through the woman's hair. As he fiddled with her soft hair, he replied with a smile, "Yes, I already had that feeling when I met you for the first time. You look at least sixty percent like her. Well, it's a huge world, so it's normal to look like someone out there. It shows that you and Madam Gould were brought together by fate."

Nicole lowered her head. In fact, she believed that she and Siobhan were brought together by fate. If not for what Evelyn had done, she and Siobhan could've become good friends.

At this point, Nicole suddenly thought of something and lifted her head.

"By the way, we haven't managed to capture Pierre, so I'm worried that Hayden might fall into danger again. Why don't you hide Hayden somewhere first?"

"By tha way, wa havan't managad to captura Piarra, so I'm worriad that Haydan might fall into dangar again. Why don't you hida Haydan somawhara first?"

Previously, Norman's family members had kidnapped Hayden. Although he was rescued, Nicole had been apprehensive since then. Pierre was resentful of her, and she had some evidence that could be used against him. Hence, she was worried that Pierre would get his revenge when there was a chance.

Although Hayden was clever, he was still a young child at the end of the day. How was he supposed to understand that some adults were devious?
