Right Person, Wrong Time

Chapter 709

It was obvious to Julian that Nicole didn't want to tell him anything. With Colton around, Julian couldn't force her, so he shut his mouth and didn't say anything else.

Seeing Julian turn around and leave in disappointment, Nicole didn't look at him differently either and kept her gaze cold all the time.

When Colton saw what was going on, he waited for Julian to leave before he said slowly, "The child by that woman's side is indeed not a good person."

Colton was also involved in it back then. The child was young. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the kid was sent by someone who was hostile to Wolf.

Dream and Julian had known each other since young, but Julian had never told her what he did for a living. Later, someone wanted to use Dream to bring down Julian, so they made use of that child to achieve their goal.

Julian was threatened, and he feared that Dream would be hurt, so he took action. After he did that, however, Julian felt as if the sky had fallen!

Dream didn't believe his words, and she only thought that he was a murderer. Due to that, the relationship between the two of them broke down completely. After that quarrel, Julian suddenly seemed to be a different person and was completely out of it.

Later, she also disappeared. Even with the power of Wolf and Gardner Corporation, they couldn't find her.

Nicole held her hands together tightly and said nothing, her expression blank. She and Dream met when they were students, and they kept in touch even after they became pregnant.

Nicole would never forget that rainy day when Dream carried the corpse to her like she had lost her mind. She had begged Nicole to save the baby, but that little body had been dead for a long time. Even if a miracle was to happen, it was too late.

Nicole squeezed her hands before she raised her head and looked at Colton.

Her voice was terribly cold when she stated, "To the rest of you, that girl might be a spy or an enemy, but for Dream, she was her everything. She even recognizes that girl as her daughter…" Toward the end of her sentence, her eyes were filled with tears.

An accident happened to Dream's family. It was a heavy blow, and she could only slowly recover from it because of the little girl. However, Julian had ruined Dream's only support, so how could she not lose her mind?

When Nicole closed her eyes, she recalled the time when Dream went down on her knees and begged her over and over again. She hit the ground heavily and started bleeding from the forehead, but she had no intention of stopping at all.

Dream had sincerely regarded that child as her whole world.

Hearing that, Colton explained on behalf of Julian, "Back then, the power Wolf had in the country and abroad was still unstable, and the enemy wanted to start with Dream. If Julian hadn't made up his mind to get rid of that little girl, Dream might have died."

Nicole didn't know what to say because Dream was now equivalent to the living dead. She had completely gone insane.

She clutched her hands tightly. No matter what the reason was, Nicole still didn't want to understand Julian's behavior. "You all underestimated one's perseverance. No matter what, that girl was Dream's life."

Colton saw some doubt in Nicole's expression, and he lowered his voice as he asked, "Do you know where she is now?"
