Chapter 729

Although Colton didn't have any feelings for Queenie, he still knew William a little, as Colton mistakenly thought that Queenie had saved him five years ago.

William is good at flattery and speaks what one wants to hear. With his previous relationship with the Gardner Family, he accumulated a lot of debt in the family's name. However, I didn't say anything because of Queenie. With William's personality, he could indeed do a hit and run.

Colton frowned, but he suddenly had an idea. Then, he turned his head to Nicole and said, "Why don't we go to the Anderson Residence and interrogate William?"

Nicole hesitated for a moment.

William is old and cunning; surely, it won't be easy to make him admit to anything.

However, there was no other way out at the moment, so she closed her eyes and had to compromise.

"Okay, let's do that for now."

Then, they talked a bit more on the couch and sorted out all their thoughts. That night, there were quite a few witnesses. Most of them said there were two people in the car, but they did not take a good look inside.

Because the impact was so strong, the windshield was shattered. There was blood on it, so passersby had a great memory of it.

The two talked until 7.30AM before Nicole started making breakfast.

Not long after she started, Colton heard light footsteps coming from the stairway. He raised his gaze and looked upward. It turned out that Hayden had woken up.

Hayden was wearing the same kind of pajamas as Nicole. His small body radiated tiredness, so his steps were slow when he made his way down the stairs. His body was shaking when he was going down, making him look all the more adorable for it.

He was yawning while walking and stretched out his hands to rub his eyes, unable to stop the sleepiness welling up.

Colton was afraid the sleepy Hayden would accidentally step on air, so he picked up the child.

Hayden only noticed Colton after being held in his arms. The boy blinked his clear eyes and raised his gaze, only to find Colton's magnified handsome face.

The little face that radiated sleepiness instantly dissipated. Then, Hayden put his hands on Colton's collar and raised his voice as he shouted, "Dad!"

Hearing his son's excited voice, Colton was in a much better mood as he reached out and stroked Hayden's head as he carried the child downstairs.

Hayden was full of energy as he tugged tightly at Colton's collar. His expression became radiant as he asked, "Dad, why are you here today?"
