Chapter 788

"Evelyn, Mom's gotten into a car crash in the country. She's been taken to the Town Central Hospital. I've told Dad about it, but we'll arrive in four to five hours. You're there, so you should hurry over," recounted Gabriel anxiously.

He felt completely lost; he did not know why Siobhan was involved in a car crash. Still, he contacted Evelyn right after he received a phone call from the hospital.

It was not until then that she regained her composure. "I got it."

After a moment of pause, Gabriel added, "Give the phone to Colton. I have something to tell him."

She nodded and proffered her phone to Colton. However, he did not take it, so she added anxiously, "It's my brother. He wants to speak to you."

Hearing that it was Gabriel, Colton slowly took over the gadget.

"Colton, my mother's been involved in a car accident. She's receiving emergency treatment at Town Central Hospital. Our family usually stays abroad, so I'm not sure about the situation in the country. Please find a skilled doctor for her."

The languidness in Colton gave way to solemnity when he followed the situation. He accepted the request without asking further. "Okay. I'll get the best medical team at this instant. Don't worry about it. Just leave it to me."

With Colton's promise, Gabriel finally let out a soft sigh. He pursed his lips before thanking gently, "Thank you."

Without much delay, Colton rose to his feet and spared a glance at Evelyn. "Let's go to the hospital."

Colors drained from her face, and her body shook like a leaf as fear devoured her eyes. It was his voice that enchanted her with a spell of tranquility. "Okay."

Nicole, who had an inkling of the situation from the phone call, lifted her gaze onto Colton. "Is it serious?"

The glint in his eyes dimmed as he delved his hands into his pockets. "I'm not sure, but judging from how Gabriel sought my help through a phone call, I bet it's not as simple as we think."

"I'm coming along." Nicole stood up and proposed.

She met Siobhan once; she was a charismatic and influential woman. Somehow, she gave off a familiar aura to Nicole.

Hearing Nicole's voice, Evelyn barked, "Keep your nose out of this. It's my mother!"

"Evelyn, she's White's apprentice. A car crash might injure the brain, and this is her expertise," Colton reminded.

Despite the reluctance, Evelyn could not gamble with her mother's life. Thus, she could only tolerate it for now.

Nicole turned to Zachary and requested in a low voice, "Zach, could you bring Hayden home after a meal? I'll head over to check on Madam Gould."

A gentle smile appeared across his lips as he pulled Hayden over to his side. "Sure. Just give me a call if anything happens. I'm always on your side."

There was a vague hint between those lines.

Since it was a life and death matter, they did not drag much further and hit the road immediately.

"Take my car. I'll contact the medical team. You can check on Madam Gould alongside them." Colton pulled Nicole's hand, after which she gladly hopped onto the passenger seat.

Meanwhile, Evelyn was so livid that she stomped her foot at their natural interactions. Still, the urgency of her mother's condition rendered it the wrong time for jealousy. So, she seated herself in the back seat with gritted teeth.
