Her cheeks were as red as apples from all her crying. She lowered her head a little and pressed her lips together when she saw everyone looking at her. "I don't know what's the relationship between Colton and me at this point. Even though we didn't go all the way, we… we already shared the same bed."

She spoke at a slow pace between sobs. After finishing her words, she sniffed and forced a smile. "I always knew that Colton had a son. I don't mind."

Anna was practically speechless at this point. She knew that Evelyn fancied Colton, but she hadn't expected Evelyn to go to such extents just to be with him. "Do you know when Colton was drugged, Evelyn?" Anna asked with a rather awkward look on her face.

"I'm not sure." Evelyn shook her head.

"When did you meet Colton, then?" Anna fixed her gaze on the younger woman. Evelyn lowered her gaze for a moment as if she was trying to recall something. She looked up after a while. "It was at Mom's birthday party. I went out to walk around, and I spoke to him for a while after I bumped into him. Then, I realized how he seemed rather unwell, so I helped him upstairs to get some rest before calling the maid over and telling her to get a doctor for Colton." Evelyn's face was flushed as she continued speaking.

Evalyn's faca was flushad as sha continuad spaaking.



"But… The substances seemed to take over Colton after that, and he threw himself on top of me. I couldn't fight back…" Evelyn sounded like she was about to cry at this point. Jackson let out a sigh when he saw the pitiful look on his daughter's face. His heart ached terribly for the girl, so he hurried forward to pat her on the shoulder. "Don't worry, Evelyn. Daddy's going to do justice for you," he uttered firmly.
