Well, I guess there are two sides to every coin. Look at Evelyn now. So what if she's the Wrenn Family's daughter? She's arrogant and domineering.

Leaning against the wall, she took a moment to compose herself before slowly leaving the hallway.

Meanwhile, Colton looked somewhat thoughtful as he watched the scene shown on the surveillance monitor. So, Nicole isn't William's daughter, he thought.

Betty was in a near vegetative state when the research center first took her in. In order to take better care of her, Colton had many surveillance cameras installed in her ward to have her monitored from all sides. When he saw Nicole enter the room, he went to the surveillance room to take a look, but little did he expect to see this.

While looking into the previous incident where he had been drugged by Evelyn, he found out that she and Nicole were born on the same day at the same hospital. Moreover, Betty had stated that Nicole's birth parents were surnamed Wrenn. Piecing all the information together, he easily deduced that Nicole was the Wrenn Family's daughter.

As it turned out, William had physically abused Madeline back then, so she swapped her daughter with another baby girl who was born on the same day for the sake of the former. Turns out there was such a story behind this back then. Still, it's yet to be fully confirmed that Nicole is the Wrenn Family's daughter.

Colton pondered for a moment. After a while, he finally called Tony.

Tony asked in resignation, "Mr. Gardner? What do you need this time?" He had just finished investigating the drugging incident and was just about to rest for some time, but now he had to be at the man's beck and call again.

Colton seemed to be in a good mood at the moment. Not offended at all by his subordinate's tone of voice, he asked, "Didn't you mention that Nicole was born at the same hospital as Evelyn when I asked you to look into her before?"

"Yeah, that's right. Gabriel also mentioned this before. What's the matter? You became senile and forgot about it?" Tony replied with a hint of banter in his voice.

As Colton was in a good mood, he didn't bother to argue with Tony over this. After pondering for a while, he said, "I'll bring you a few samples in a couple of days, so do a DNA paternity test for me."

"Did you get yourself another child or something?"

"I don't mind having somebody sew your mouth shut if you can't talk properly," Colton threatened menacingly.

Upon hearing this, Tony immediately behaved himself. Letting out a chuckle, he replied in embarrassment, "Hehe, I was just kidding, no? Alright, I promise I'll get the job done. Just mail the samples to the office by then."

After hanging up the phone, Colton made another phone call to Gabriel. As soon as the phone call was answered, he asked right away without beating around the bush, "You still in the country?"

"Uh-huh. Your wedding to Evelyn is just around the corner, no? I'm busy with the preparations in the country, of course," Gabriel replied flatly.

Colton suggested, "Let's meet up. There's something I've got to tell you." It was difficult to explain the matter in a few words, so he thought it would be better to discuss it in detail when they met up.

"Alright. Give me a date."

"Let's meet today. Where are you? I'll come to you right away," Colton replied in a slightly grave voice.

Gabriel frowned. What's the hurry? Nevertheless, he gave Colton the address instead of turning the man down.

After ending the phone call, Colton went out instantly.
