Thomas' laser vision remained burning on Shane. The former had worshipped Nathan since the very beginning. He even regarded Nathan as his god, one to be served faithfully for all eternity.

Shane was horrified by the rapid unfolding of events before his widened eyes. "Thomas, you should know that Nathan is no longer the General of the North. And with Mr. Davier hunting him down sooner or later, don't you see his days are numbered? This is the time for you to take the right stance, to recognize that Nathan is not someone worth sacrificing your life for!"
