Nathan looked at these family members each rushing to comfort him in their own way. In a certain way, it was kind of hilarious. They thought he had failed in his job and wanted him to get drunk to get over the disappointment.

He felt somewhat helpless, but funny, and at the same time, heart-warming as well.

This was what family was about. Family means having someone to love you unconditionally in spite of you and your shortcomings.
