Upon hearing about Nathan's arrival, Sage and his family rushed out of the hotel.

Shae, being the conceited woman she was, thought that Sage was there to welcome her.

She smugly approached him with her bodyguards in tow. She simpered and said, "Oh, General Tomlinson, you're too courteous! It's your fortieth birthday today! It's simply not right for you to come all this way to greet me."

While Shae appeared bashful on the surface, her mind raced with a vastly different sentiment. My family has been planning to unify the family with the Chief Military Governor through marriage.
