With Gianna pointing the way, Max's convoy moved out of the city slowly and eventually pulled up in front of an ancient manor in the countryside. Whoosh!

A flock of bats flew off the moment they appeared at the entrance of the manor. On the heels of that, the rusty gate opened automatically with a creak.

The convoy moved slowly into the courtyard of the manor that was overgrown with vast vine plants before stopping outside a mottled old house. Seconds later, Max, Gianna, and his bodyguards exited their cars. At that moment, an elderly man with thinning hair and dressed in a tuxedo was standing outside the house.

Carrying an oil lamp, he greeted Max with a slight bow.

Gianna introduced, "Admiral Max, this is Kaiser, Lord Antonio's loyal butler."

Kaiser welcomed Max in a respectful manner, "Admiral Max, Lord Antonio has been expecting you for quite some time. This way, please."

Just as Max was about to enter with his bodyguards, Kaiser stood in their way. "Admiral Max, your subordinates are not allowed to enter."

In an instant, Max's bodyguards flipped out. One of them chastised, "How dare you! We're the admiral's soldiers and must stay by his side at all times. Don't you know we must follow him everywhere he goes?"
