Chapter 740 No One Cares

Felix remained completely unfazed in the face of Chandler’s hostility. Even with Chandler’s presence exuding cold fury, Felix acted as if it didn’t concern him in the slightest.

Slouched lazily in his wheelchair, Felix tilted his head up and smirked, “Your wife? And you’re asking me? What, can’t you even keep an eye on your own woman?”

Chandler’s eyes narrowed. He grabbed Felix by the collar and yanked him out of the wheelchair.

Philip’s heart nearly leaped out of his chest. “Mr. Powell!”

But Felix didn’t flinch. He stared straight into Chandler’s eyes, his smirk laced with arrogance. “What’s the matter, Chandler?

Did I hit a nerve?”

The tension between them was palpable–two men who could never see eye to eye. Chandler knew Felix wasn’t as simple as he appeared. If Felix had been able to make Meryl disappear without a trace–even slipping past him–then his current frail state was nothing but a façade.

Pinning Felix against the wall, Chandler’s eyes burned with barely restrained fury. “I’m warning you, Felix. I’m still asking nicely. You’d better start talking, or—”

Felix let out a cold laugh. “Or what? Are you gonna beat it out of

His sheer defiance was infuriating. “Hate to break it to you, but I grew up being threatened. It doesn’t work on me. And let’s be real here—it was you who lost her. Why the hell are you questioning me? Where were you when she slipped away?”

He continued, “You had countless chances to stop her, but you –what? Turned a blind eye? Meryl wanted out. She doesn’t love you anymore. Hell, let me spell it out for you–even if you find her, she’s not coming back.”

Felix’s face was a little pale–maybe from exhaustion. But his eyes were sharp, unwavering as they locked onto Chandler.
