“What could I possibly hide from you?” Claudia took a step back. “Edmond, don’t be so presumptuous. We have already divorced, I just don’t want to get too close to you and attract gossip.”
“Idle talk?” Edmond’s pitch-black pupils were filled with suppressed anger. “Why weren’t you afraid of causing idle talk when you made me wear a cuc kold’s hat?”
“Why aren’t you afraid of them gossiping about you when you have dinner alone with Pedro and Horace?” He smirked sinisterly, a surge of bloodlust in his eyes. “I see that you’re not afraid of the gossip, but rather afraid of me influencing your interactions with other men, right?”
Claudia frowned.
How did he know so clearly that she had dinner with someone else?
Claudia suddenly remembered the time when she was having dinner with those people, and Edmond unexpectedly appeared. She slowly widened her eyes and said, “Edmond, were you spying on me?”

Surprisingly, Claudia found herself sitting on a chair, feeling
somewhat at a loss, as she realized that Edmond was an acquaintance.
Edmond sat down next to her and said, “Her foot is broken, let’s see if we can put it back in place.”
The doctor examined her foot and said seriously, “It was dislocated, fortunately, no bones were injured.”
“Endure it for a moment,” he glanced at Claudia, who nodded. Before she could even ask, a sudden, excruciating pain shot through her foot.
“Ah!” The excruciating pain spread from the ankle to the whole body.
A hand reached out from the side and held her hand.

Edmond carried her and walked toward the parked car. The car door opened, and Rosalie’s familiar face came into view.
When Claudia saw Rosalie, her pupils contracted and she felt a chill run through her body.
