Chapter 13 8 I’ll Marry You
The afterglow of the setting sun shone through the car window, casting a hazy light.
The man, holding a cigarette, turned his body and looked out of the window, saying, “In the future, I will mind her business less.”
The sound of the warning seemed a bit tired.
The assistant fell silent as Edmond glanced up with a slight lift of his eyelashes and coldly said, “Go to the Clayton family.”
Did you go to the Clayton family to find Rosalie?
The assistant’s mind flickered, not daring to defy, quickly turned the steering wheel, and drove toward the Clayton Group.
At this time, Rosalie was hiding in the Clayton family and had not gone out for several days.
Apart from eating and sleeping, he refused to see anyone.
The doorbell rang, and the maid asked softly, “Ms. Clayton, there’s someone named Hugh looking for you. Should I send him away?”
Hugh?
Rosalie lay in bed, her eyebrows and eyes twitched slightly.
The person she least wants to see now is definitely Hugh, because this man dragged her into the abyss.
But now she had to meet, because of Pamela.
Ever since Pamèla found out about their affair, her whereabouts could no longer be traced.
“Let him in.”
This villa was purchased by Dempsey in the city, and all security measures were well taken care of, so there is no need to worry about papara zzi lurking around.
Seeing Hugh again, a hint of resentment flashed in Rosalie’s eyes.
She casually put on a jacket, sat on the sofa, and pointed to the chair next to her as Hugh walked in. “Sit down and let’s chat.”

Hugh took a deep look at her and softly said, “I told my family, and they agreed to let me marry you.”
Rosalie was slightly stunned, and her fingers tightened fiercely.
“Since this matter has already been exposed, the best solution would be for me to marry you. It would be beneficial for both of us,” Hugh said in a gentle and persuasive voice. “If you are willing, we can find a time to discuss with both sets of parents…
“No!” Rosalie interrupted him with utter disgust. “I will not marry you, Hugh. You don’t actually think I like you, do you?”
“I gave birth to a child for Edmond, and in the future, I could only marry him.”
Rosalie’s excited and angry accusations, with tears shimmering in her eyes, were pitiful.
“All our matters were exposed, are you sure Edmond would still marry you?”
Rosalie’s lips moved, and the light in her eyes gradually faded.
12:05
This was the thing she was most worried and afraid of
Will Edmond still marry her when her affair with Hugh is exposed in this way?
At some point, she had tears streaming down her face and was trembling intensely.
She curled up on the sofa, like a homeless migratory bird, lonely and desolate.
“But I am the child’s mother, the child is Edmond’s, he couldn’t possibly not marry me.”
She attempted to persuade herself with various reasons.
Hugh squinted his eyes and approached her, whispering softly in her ear, “You know in your heart, Rosalie, that the child is Edmond’s. Edmond could never marry you, and besides me, there are not many men who would dare to marry you.”
Rosalie was startled, her face turning pale and then purple, her lips trembling, unable to speak for a moment.
Pregnant with the Lamont family’s child and having an ambiguous relationship with Hugh, not many men dared to marry her, even if she was Rosalie.
Upon realizing this fact, Rosalie trembled all over, shaking like a sieve.
Seeing her looking so devastated, a hint of satisfaction flashed in Hugh’s eyes.
In order to make Rosalie obedient, her most proud wings had to be broken. His reputation had already been ruined, and only by marrying Rosalie could he regain a little bit.
“Let me know once you have made up your mind, so that I can arrange the wedding matters earlier.”
Upon hearing the word “marriage,” Rosalie abruptly woke up as if from a dream. She glanced at Hugh and fiercely slapped him.
“The toad wanted to eat swan meat, Hugh, I will not marry you, you can give up on that idea!” Her eyes were filled with anger, glaring at Hugh as if she wanted to kill him, full of hatred. “Don’t think I don’t know what you’re plotting. I am the heir of the Clayton family. You only want to marry me for the alliance with the Clayton family! What does your family think they are? They are not worthy of being allied with us. If my father finds out, he will definitely have someone break your legs!”
Dempsey’s notorious reputation preceded him, and bringing him out would definitely intimidate Hugh.
Sure enough, when he heard the words “break a leg,” Hugh’s handsome face rarely wrinkled.
Rosalie took a few deep breaths to calm herself down.
Just then, the door opened and Dempsey walked in briskly, saying, “I agree!”
In the surprised gaze of the two, Dempsey walked up to Hugh and patted his shoulder with his big hand, saying, “I really like such a son- in-law. Tomorrow, I will talk to your family about the marriage, and we will try to advance the wedding as much as possible.”
Upon hearing these words, Rosalie’s mind was filled with a loud buzzing sound. Her body curled up as if drained of blood, her
breathing became rapid, and beads of sweat immediately formed on her forehead.
“Dad…”
