Saying Goodbyes

Bryce was seated at the restaurant with a coffee in one hand as he stared outside the window. He had just finished a meeting with his staff and decided to sip on his coffee as he waited out here for someone. Part of the reason why he hasn't returned back home was

because he wanted Hera to enjoy her little freedom before he arrives.

With a deep contented sigh, his mind rolled out the events that had happened the past week. So far, Hera has been discharged from the hospital and was given intensive care at home. Most of the time, they had ended up arguing over a couple of things like her personal space which was no longer hers anymore.

He had been watching her like a hawk watching over its hatchling. He had been overly protective of her but with good intentions too. Hera on the other hand believes that he was doting on her too much and wanted to do some things on her own but he wouldn't allow it. God forbids he does. There's absolutely no way in hell that he'd do that. He never lets her out of his sight even for a split second. Not after what had happened the last time.

He was everywhere around her. In the bedroom, the kitchen...it took a whole lot of convincing on her part before he was able to rule out the bathroom otherwise, he'd definitely be there too. He was certain that she was sick of him at this point but he could also tell that she loved it just as much.

The sisters at the convent as well as Christina had visited them in the hospital days before she was discharged and they had been very supportive about the pregnancy and his feelings for her. Max had even dropped by to check on them. He had been busy with opening up a new hotel but still managed to come through whenever they needed him.

For the first time in ages, Max had told him how proud he was of him for coming this far and sticking to it. Hera had even promised to make him the baby's godfather when it's been born. They haven't checked the gender of the baby because they wanted to keep it as a surprise for both of them although Bryce was hoping that it'd be a girl. It'd be nice to have someone that reminds him of Hera and his mother.

The good days were as equal as the worse days but they always managed to pull through. He had never known that pregnancy was so difficult. It wasn't all rainbows and sunshine. Some days she'd be happy and minutes after, she'd be going through tons of emotions at once but he never complains.

He loves her and he loves experiencing all of these things with her. God! He was helplessly in love with this woman. A smile crossed his features and soaked it in before taking another sip. Everything was finally perfect and he couldn't be more happier whenever the thought of him being a dad crossed his mind.

"Bryce?" Someone called out to him and he whipped his head towards the direction of the voice. It was Nella. He stood up from his seat and ushered her to take a seat next to him which she did.

"I didn't think that you'd ever call me again but i was happy that you did." She started with watery eyes and a blissful smile. "How have you been? And Hera? How is she?"
