Chapter 107

*****Vincent's POV*****

I sat behind my desk alone, in the middle of the day with the curtains fully closed over - leaving me in the dark to think.

At this point my eyes burned for rest, but I still didn't allow it.

My father knew that I was in here waiting, but hadn't came in yet with any sort of an update. It had been around six hours since I had asked for his help this morning, and my thoughts seemed to have grown numb.

I currently hammered a pen back and forth on top of the wood of the desk, drumming it consistently with my fingers in an attempt to force myself to think this whole thing through.

How could I not know where she was by now?! Why had nobody seen her around town yet? Why was her phone still switched off?!

Emma and Reid were still asleep upstairs, and Daryl had tried to call me once an hour ago to which I just ignored and sent him a text to say that if it's an important update - he can text it to me since I don't want to hear his voice right now. It wasn't an update of any kind though. I assumed that he had tried to call Reid when he was conked out in his room and since he didn't get an answer, he then moved on to call me.

He quickly text me back, only to ask if there was an update yet, but I just read his text and didn't bother to respond.

Like he actually cares anyway!

Sighing heavily, I launch the pen in my hand across the room towards the door, and as I do that - I see the handle dip and my fathers head poke around the door - the pen just missing out on hitting him in the face by mere centimetres. "What the fuck was that?!" He fumes, as I straighten up at his presence - praying that he had found something, anything about where Sofia could be.

He glares down at the pen that I had thrown towards him, before letting himself fully in to the room, closing the door over behind him.

He moves swiftly, making his way towards the large windows first as he draws back the curtains and allows for the light to pour in to the room around us.

"You're sitting in here like you're in mourning! Get a grip of yourself Vincent!" He scolds harshly, clearly unamused with my sulking, but I don't care.
