Annie stormed out of the hospital, her face hard and her fists clenched as if every insult she'd swallowed over the year finally exploded. She felt as though the ghosts of her past were clawing their way back into her life, pulling her down. threatening to shatter everything she'd built. She'd fought too hard, crawled out of too many dark places, to let someo Emma win.

She got inside her car and headed straight to the pharmacy. She needed another pregnancy kit. She needed to know if was yet with child. She couldn't deal with this insult anymore most especially since Emma had suddenly stepped out o shadows with her bastard twins. She had spotted the two kids as she approached Alexander's office but she hadn't madi much of it at first not until she spotted kevin carrying the twins in his arms.
