A couple of days later, when Patrick got back from a "family meeting," the six of us sat down to plan our holiday activities. Patrick's parents had invited us for Thanksgiving, and as much as I loved spending the day with Patrick's family, I just wanted to stay home. "Are you sure you're ok with us not going to your parents?"
