Chapter: 246 Give You an Explanation

Time seemed to freeze in that moment, and the air around them moved slowly, quiet enough for Kelvin to hear Cheyenne’s heartbeat and breath clearly. Soon, her breathing became noticeably irregular. Because of anger? Because of him?

Kelvin had never felt so terrible before. On stage, he could control everything and manipulate people’s hearts effortlessly. But now he didn’t know what to do.

After almost a minute of silence between them, Kelvin took out a small glass bottle from his suit pocket and placed it in Cheyenne’s hand.

Cheyenne lowered her head slightly and looked at the glass bottle in her hand with furrowed brows. She then raised her head to look at him with confusion evident in her eyes. “What does this mean?” He quickly withdrew his hand and caught sight of the two people outside who were eating ice cream on the stairs while eavesdropping on their conversation. His lips twitched slightly.

In a cold voice, he replied, “This drug is called ‘Mist’. It’s what caused you to miscarry three years ago. I already know who did it; I will give you an explanation.” Cheyenne had known all along that Abbie was responsible for causing her miscarriage but she didn’t believe Kelvin when he said he would give an explanation.

She sneered coldly. “I don’t need your three-year-late explanation; I’m not one to delay revenge nor do I need anyone else’s help.”

“Besides,” she continued sarcastically, “are you willing? That was your childhood sweetheart, someone you’ve cherished for over ten years.”

Every word she spoke dripped with sarcasm and sharpness.

Kelvin didn’t know how many times he had to explain it to her for her to understand. He had always regarded Abbie as a little sister. In the past, he had no interest in explaining, and now, even if he tried, she wouldn’t listen.
