Gerard hesitated, piecing together the outcome. It didn’t go well, huh? Composing himself, he replied, “Understood.”

Kristian, his fingers absently brushing against his phone, contemplated Freya’s recent decision to remove him from her blacklist. His thoughts were interrupted when he commanded, “Go visit the Price family.”
