“Jesse!” Nina protested, clearly not thrilled.

He raised an eyebrow. “You really want him seeing your messy room? Your desk’s still covered in hair ties and those little flower clips Uncle Alan used this morning.”

Nina paused, remembering. Right, her uncle had helped her with her hair earlier, and she hadn’t cleaned up since.
