Sharon didn’t make a fuss. “As long as he’s willing. There are more than enough rooms here. If I want someone to stay, it won’t be a problem.”

“Good.” Wendy finally looked reassured. “Sharon, while I’m away, if anything happens, you must reach out to me. Don’t you dare keep it from me.’

“I know,” Sharon said softly.

With that, Wendy took her leave.

Once she was gone, Sharon gently cradled Shaluna in her arms. She would never again allow anyone to take what belonged to her.
