Chapter 327.1 Acquaintances (1)

Ann finally began to piece things together and realized that Imogen and the unreasonable woman named Ivette were acquaintances.

While the two argued, Imogen subtly signalled Ann to leave.

Ann chose to stay because she knew that if she left, Ivette would likely pin the blame on Imogen.

Ivette, however, had no intention of actually calling the police. She shot Imogen a spiteful glance and then turned to leave.

As Ivette disappeared around the corner, Imogen shifted her focus and smiled at Ann. She asked, “Are you okay?”

Ann responded with gratitude, “I’m fine. Thank you, Ms. Forbes.”

Imogen continued, “It’s nothing. I overheard you mention that today is your last day working here?”

Ann explained, “Yes, that’s right. I had to take a break from school earlier due to my father’s health issues. But now he’s improving, and I’ve resumed my studies.”

Imogen congratulated her. “Please give my regards to him for his recovery.”

“Thank you. I’m going to get a broom to clean up this mess,” Ann replied.

“Go ahead.” Imogen said and then headed to the restroom.

When she returned from the restroom, she noticed someone had taken her seat across from Troy.

As she got closer, she recognized the person as Ivette.

While Troy was on stage singing, Ivette had noticed him.

She was hurrying earlier in an attempt to catch up with Troy.

Troy and swiftly made her way over. She plopped down in the seat across from him and greeted him
