Alice stared at her brothers. They always used the excuse that Chloe’s father had saved her life. In her past life, that excuse had prevented her brothers from ever showing her any real affection, right up

But this time, she’d discovered that Chloe’s father wasn’t dead at all. That meant the car accident might have been connected to him. Why else would he be hiding behind Chloe?

Nathan exclaimed, surprised, “Alice, what do you mean?”

Ben looked suspicious.“Big Brother’s been investigating the person who fled the scene of the accident, but he’s only found leads connected to the Garcia family. There’s been no progress. Do you have any clues, Alice?”

Alice gripped her phone, wanting to slam the evidence on their faces. But she held back. This wasn’t the place, and she didn’t want to tip anyone off.
