Martin flashed a slight smile, saying, "Minister, no need to ask questions... All you need to know is that as long as she's in finance department and there aren't any major issues on the horizon, your position as the manager will be solid as a rock." Marilyn, sitting in her spacious deputy manager's office, couldn't help but laugh. She'd just started working and had already received a promotion. She was so thrilled that she wanted to share the news with someone, and the first person that came to mind was Stephanie. Stephanie answered her mother's call with a hint of trepidation: "Mom, I know what I did last night was out of line; I realize my mistake and I'm reflecting on it. Don't scold me, OK?"
