Chapter 269 - Another Gift

Mo Yan explained with a smile, her face beaming with happiness.

Although she had complained about Huo Zhen running around despite his injuries, she couldn’t help but feel delighted when she thought about meeting him that night.

Su Hai had originally thought that Mo Yan was just making excuses, but when he saw her innocent and happy face, he couldn’t help but believe her. He felt as though he was being forced to watch their love story play out, and even felt a little envious of Huo Zhen.

When Mo Yan left the Su Corporation, it was already a little late.

“I like it very much, but I’m still afraid that I won’t be able to do well.” Mo Yan tugged at her hair. She had pondered about it for a long time on the way there, but she really couldn’t think of how to run a listed company.

“Don’t worry. I believe in you, and I will help you.”

Huo Zhen changed the topic and got Mo Yan to sit beside him. “I asked you here today because I have another gift for you.”

“Another gift?”

Mo Yan’s eyes widened in shock. What special occasion was it that day? Why was Huo Zhen giving her gifts one after another? He had already gifted her a company which she couldn’t afford.

“Let them in.”

Huo Zhen moved closer to Mo Yan. “Believe me, you’ll like this gift as well.”

Mo Yan did not expect Huo Zhen to invite Mo Lian and Mo Dong. Mo Dong’s face was full of smiles. It was obvious that he had already been educated by Huo Zhen in advance. As for Mo Lian, her reluctance was displayed on her face; it was as though she wanted to swallow Mo Yan alive.

“Huo Zhen, why are they here?”

Mo Yan increasingly did not know what Huo Zhen was up to. Moreover, what kind of gifts were Mo Dong and Mo Lian?

Gifts should make her feel happy, not disgusted.

Mo Dong smiled apologetically. He walked over and wanted to sit, but Huo Zhen glared at him.

Mo Lian was irate. She had originally thought that they were here to have a big meal, but she didn’t expect to see Mo Yan and Luo Tao. Moreover, her father was nodding and bowing to them respectfully. How could she not be embarrassed?
