Chapter 793 Bailey Has Gone Mad

“What's wrong with Ms. Bailey?” The person in charge of the base quickly inquired. Zeke furrowed his brow slightly but immediately understood his sister's intention. He spoke in a low voice.

“She just went through a life-and-death separation and lost her true love. She has been tormenting herself for the past few days, but there is always hope in life. I believe that one day she will be able to pick herself up again.”

The man's gaze flickered for a moment but quickly returned to normal.

“In that case, Mr. Zeke, you should take Ms. Bailey to rest. It's windy outside, and she shouldn't catch a cold.”

Zeke nodded lightly and scooped Bailey up in his arms, walking toward the residential area. Artemis followed behind them, feeling unhappy in his heart. It was not a pleasant feeling to see another man holding her woman, even if it was her arrogant older brother.

“Your man is jealous,” Zeke whispered in a low voice to his sister in his arms. Bailey rolled her eyes.

“I've attracted a lot of admirers internationally, and Cameron is just one percent of them. I'm letting him feel jealous now so that he can adapt to the occasional appearance of rivals in the future.” Zeke smiled.

“That's how it should be. He shouldn't have everything his way. Let him be upset for a while.”

After Mindy and her subordinates arrived at the Sunray Welfare Center, she ordered them to smash everything inside. In the director's office, she slammed a gun on the desk.

“Do you want to live or die?” Mindy asked, her voice cold. The director screamed in fear, staring wide-eyed at the gun on the table and trembling all over too. At that moment, a female bodyguard walked in from outside and nodded.

“Mindy, we've cut off all the communication devices inside, and we have control over all the staff. Once we deal with this old woman, we can proceed with the plan.”

Mindy smirked, reaching out and grabbing the director by the collar. In a chilling voice, she said, “I'm from the streets. If you want to stay alive, you better listen to me. I know you're acquainted with Caridee. When the time comes, call her and tell her that there's a major incident at the welfare center, and she should come here. If you can accomplish this, your life will be spared. Otherwise...”

She swiftly picked up the gun and pressed it against the woman's temple.

“I'll blow your brains out.”

The director screamed in terror, too frightened to consider anything else, and desperately shouted, “I agree, I agree! I'll do anything you ask. Just don't kill me!”

Mindy smiled with satisfaction, tossing her aside like trash onto a chair. The female bodyguard picked up the landline phone on the desk, preparing to hand it to the director so she could call Caridee. But then Mindy realized something and waved her hand.

“Wait a minute. The vice-leader is currently at the branch. If we call Caridee now, won't she come together with the vice-leader? How can we capture her then? We would not only fail to catch her but also alert her.”

The female bodyguard quickly took the phone back from the director's hand.

“Mindy, you're thinking ahead. I was being foolish and didn't consider this. What should we do now?”

Mindy squinted her eyes and fell into silence for a moment. Then she got up and walked toward the door while saying, “You stay here with your men and wait for my message. When the vice-leader leaves the branch, I'll call you immediately. You'll then make sure this old woman contacts Caridee, understood?”

“Yes, I'll take care of it.”

...

After resting for a few hours at the medical base, Bailey set off for the Hoffman residence in the evening. Since she had come this far, she might as well brave the danger and make her way in.

She was accompanied by Zeke, as well as Artemis and Cameron disguised as bodyguards. With them by her side, Bailey felt safer than ever before. Even if she knew that countless arrows were aimed at her from the shadows, she had no fear.

The atmosphere was tense in the main reception hall of the Hoffman residence. The elders of the family, led by Philip, refused to let Bailey see Juliana, resulting in a standoff between the two sides.

Bailey lazily leaned back in her chair and said lightly, “If you are well-informed, you should know that I have just lost my beloved. I am now at a dead end. If I truly go mad and order a few bombs to be detonated, do you believe that your entire clan will be bathed in blood in an instant?”

Philip stood up abruptly from the sofa, about to reprimand her. But when his gaze met Bailey's bloodthirsty eyes, he hesitated. This woman's hostility was overwhelming. He couldn't see any hope or light in her eyes. There was only boundless darkness and a desire for slaughter.

This woman had truly gone mad. After losing her beloved, she had completely transformed into a wild beast. Perhaps she was right in one thing, which was that she was now at a dead end.

If she truly went mad, she might actually be able to mobilize the Saviors and wipe out the entire Hoffman family. When facing a desperate person like her, it was best not to use too forceful means.

If she felt cornered, it would only lead to death, and everyone would be buried with her.
